jelly&stuff

In the process of creating, the artist wears, experiences and stages jewellery on her own body. In so doing she’s entering into a reciprocal and provocative dialogue with her surroundings and her physicality. Where does the body end? Where does the jewellery piece begin? What impact does jewellery have on its surrounding? The form and dimension of an object and the space it occupies are important aspects of the artist’s work. Whilst working with natural volumes and organic forms as well as unsteady textures and surfaces, borders get translucent. The sculptural piece dissolves slowly. Reflective materials play with the present light and include the surroundings in the object as well as vice versa. This way the wearer becomes one with the object and its surroundings.
